1.3 - Humanity update




- New Units : Infantry and MANPADS.

Infantries are armed AKM, which is not very dangerous, but MANPADS use 9K32 Strela-2 missile launcher.

9K32 Strela-2 is weaker than 9K31 strela missile, but you won't like getting hit by them !


- Eliminated the ghosts on UAZ-469. 


- MANPADS and 9K31 now have minimum effective altitude of 20 meters. you will be safe if you fly very low.


- Improved AI's Wire guided ATGM usage.

they now trim their missile guidance to hit moving targets. you must fly faster than 70 knots to avoid the missile.

their guiding skill varies based on the difficulty settings.


- Changed the total number of units in all missions to introduce infantries.



My next objectives are animated pilot body inside the cockpit and helicopter AI improvements !

Will NOE be possible in-game? One of the STEAM achievements for Steel Alcimus 2 is called Nape-of-the-earth, but such a maneuver is impossible in Steel Alcimus 2 as the playfield is flat.

NOE is possible by carefully controlling collective and cyclic to maintain lowest radar altitude, and it's important for your survival especially against AA units.

In the next patch AI helicopters will be able to perfrom NOE against AA units as well, and Shilkas' radar guidance will be less accurate when their target is lower than 60 meters, which is caused by false returns from ground clutter.
